Latviešu valodā atrast jebkādu informāciju par CrossFit ir ārkārtīgi grūti pavisam vienkārša iemesla pēc, jo šis sporta veids nav tik populārs mūsu platuma grādos, tāpēc arī pieejamie infografiki un video lielākoties ir angļu valodā. Šī bloga mērķis būs šo situāciju mainīt.

Latviešiem pašiem savs "Kalifornijas lācis" - Jānis Todavčičs

Vairākas reizes šajā blogā esmu minējis tādu pasaules līmeņa CrossFit atlētu kā Jason Khalipa . Viņš ir 2008. gada Reebok CrossFit Games čempions, un pagaidām vienīgais atlēts visā CrossFit Games vēsturē, kuram ir izdevies izcīnīt gan zeltu, gan sudrabu, gan bronzu. Manuprāt, iespaidīgi. Šogad šis atlēts ir paziņojis par Individual karjeras beigām (līdzīgi kā četrkārtējais CrossFit Games čempions Rich Froning), taču tas nenozīmē, ka mums vairs nebūs iespēju redzēt šo vareno "Kalifornijas lāci" sacenšamies. Iespējams jau 2015. gadā mēs varēsim vārot kā Jason Khalipa ar savu komandu sacenšas Kārsonā par augstākajām vietām komandu kategorijā. Taču, kamēr gaidam jauno CrossFit Games sezonu, iesaku ļoti rūpīgi pievērst uzmanību augusta beigām un pirmajiem diviem rudens mēnešiem. An interview with a visionary and the inventor of the Rx Jump Rope - David Newman

Soon after the CrossFit Team Series had ended, a guy from Latvia thought to contact a company, that was mentioned in every Team Series Update Show - Rx Smart Gear. Considering that LatvianCrossFit is a small blog like website and Latvia has no Regionals (not to mention Games) level athletes, what are the chances that someone is likely to respond? Probably not big but one has to try anyway. So the author of this site found an e-mail on the Rx website and wrote a message. Saying that it would be nice to make an interview with a representative of Rx Smart Gear, in order to inform Latvian readers about Rx products, the company, its athletes and maybe even about its future plans. The e-mail was brief and simple. What to expect? Casper Gammelmark - the winner of the Baltics Throwdown

Latvia is a small country, no doubt about that. Latvian CrossFit athletes and box owners have to work really hard to get noticed abroad. Finally came a chance where Latvians can shine, can make their mark in the Europe CrossFit map. The Baltics Throwdown was the first international CrossFit competition held on Latvian soil. Athletes from Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, Germany, Norway, Denmark and more came to compete with the best Latvian CrossFit athletes. After completing the qualification stage "the Battle of Livonia" athletes got the ticket to go to Riga, to CrossFit Teika. There they competed in five events which tested their fitness.
